Yapi Kredi’s strategic business unit based service model consists of five major segments, namely retail banking (including SME banking), credit cards, private banking, commercial and corporate banking. In addition, Yapi Kredi has domestic subsidiaries, namely “Product Factories”, foreign subsidiaries and other subsidiaries.




Retail Banking
  • Retail banking is the leading segment Yapi Kredi focuses on in line with its strategic objectives. Yapi Kredi carries out its retail banking activities under credit cards, individual banking and small and medium size enterprises (SME) (Companies with turnover less than 5 mln USD) banking.


  • Retail banking products and services offered to customers include credit cards, consumer loans (including general purpose loans, auto loans and mortgages), commercial installment loans, SME loans, time and demand deposits, investment accounts, life and non-life insurance products and payroll services. Total number of retail branches as of 9M09 is 679.

Credit Cards

  • Yapi Kredi was the first bank in Turkey to issue credit cards to individuals in 1988, and since then, has maintained its leadership in the credit card sector. Yapi Kredi is the largest player in Turkey's rapidly growing credit card market, with leading market shares in number of cards, issuing and outstanding volumes.


  • Yapi Kredi not only maintains its leadership in credit cards, but this segment continues to be a solid revenue contributor for Yapi Kredi driven by the Bank’s special focus on profitability.


  • Credit card operations cover the management of products and services for member merchants as well as sales and marketing operations for a variety of customer types. The clubs and programs under the umbrella of the World brand include Gold Club, Platinum Club, Crystal Club, Travel Club (Travel Program and VIP Travel Program), Adios Card, Play Card (Young Employees Program and Student Program), Business Club (Corporate Program, Trio Program, Company Program and SME Program), Share Program and Communication Program.


  • Credit card brand licensing collaboration agreements were started in 2008 by Yapi Kredi in cooperation with Millennium Bank, Anadolubank, Fortis and Vakifbank. As a result of these collaborations, Yapi Kredi’s credit card brand World became Turkey’s largest marketing platform with almost eleven million credit cards. Furthermore, agreements were reached in 2008 for Cyprus Economy Bank and Cyprus Turkish Cooperative Central Bank credit cards to join the World system. The fact that six banks both inside and outside of Turkey chose World clearly proves that the undisputed position and importance of Yapi Kredi in credit cards segment is affirmed by the sector.

  • Yapi Kredi’s individual banking products and services consist primarily of general purpose loans, car loans, mortgages, credit and debit cards, deposit and overdraft accounts, investment accounts, life and non-life insurance products, payroll services, ATMs, telephone banking, internet banking and mobile banking.


  • In individual banking, besides its wide array of products in individual lending, Yapi Kredi also provides its retail customers with loyalty programs so as to strengthen relationships with its customers and increase customer satisfaction.

  • Yapi Kredi forms its customer segment-based marketing initiatives according to the evolving needs and expectations of its private banking clients. Among the products and services offered to private banking customers are time deposits, fiduciary deposits, mutual funds, derivative products such as forwards, futures and options, personal loans, foreign exchange, gold and equity trading, pension plans, insurance products, safe deposit boxes and e-banking services.


  • Private banking services are further enhances by investment advisory and portfolio management services provided by the Group’s portfolio management and brokerage subsidiaries.

  • Yapi Kredi continues to differentiate itself from the competition in private banking with consultancy services as well as exclusive non-financial benefits offered to its clients.   • Commercial and corporate banking is organised into two sub-segments: commercial banking, which serves mid-sized companies; and corporate banking, which serves large multinational companies.
