YKER considers manuscripts in English only.
Manuscript should be typed double-spaced on one side of the paper and submitted in three copies to the editor. It is requested that the final version of the manuscripts and tables be submitted in three hard copies and on diskette. The files must be prepared in "Microsoft Word for IBM", version not lower than 6.0. Graphs must be prepared in EXCEL, Freelance or Power-Point, and submitted included in the text as well as in separate files.
The first page of the manuscript should contain: (i) the title of the manuscript; (ii) the name(s), -if any- academic title(s) and institutional affiliation(s); (iii) an abstract of no more than 100 words.
All references should be cited at appropriate places in the text (not in the footnotes) by giving the last name of the author, year of publication, followed by -if needed- reference to pages (e.g., ozatay, 1996).
If the author's name is in the text, follow it with year in parantheses (e.g., 1996, p. 33).
If reference is made to two sources by the same author published in the same year, differentiation is made by adding letters of the alphabet to years (e.g., ozatay, 1996a).
If the source is by two authors, give both last names (e.g., Toby and Bull, 1996).
If the same source is by more than two authors, use "et al.," (e.g. Boratav et al., 1996).
For a series of references use semicolons and enclose them within a single pair of parantheses (e.g., Boratav et al., 1996; Onaran, 1996; Selcuk, 1996).
Footnotes should only be used if absolutely necessary. They should be numbered and should be typed on a separate page under the heading "NOTES".
All references cited in the text should be listed alphabetically at the end of the article and should be typed on a separate page under the heading "REFERENCES" . When more than one source is used by the same author(s), the sources should be ordered by the year of publication.
If the reference is to a book, the title of the book should be typed in italics (e.g., Brennan, G and Buchanan, J. M., The Power to Tax, New York, Cambridge University Press, 1980).
If the reference is to an article published in a periodical (or in a book), the title of the article should be typed between the " ", and the title of the periodical (or book) should be typed in italics (e.g., Diamond, P. A., "A Many-Person Ramsey Tax Rule", Journal of Public Economics, 4, 1975, pp. 335-342; Atkinson, A., "How Progressive Should Income Tax Be?" in M. Parkin and A. Nobay (eds.), Essays in Modern Economics, London, Longman, 1973).
